We started off on Friday night with some name and getting- to- know you games, and then moved into making our place-mats for the next day. At each minicamp we arrange the tables for meals by spreading out named place-mats, so that at each meal we have an opportunity to speak to different people, and interact with the JB’s, kids, and leaders.

Everybody came to minicamp excited and looking forward to another minicamp and seeing all their friends again. The moment we got there, we were all welcomed by hugs and smiles and we dropped our things off in our cabins as we got prepared for the first activity of the weekend.
Kids Minicamp Report (9 – 13 yr olds):
Minicamp kicked off on Friday night with energisers and name games to get to know each other. Once we were all familiar with each other’s names, we got together to make our placemats for the following day. After supper, lullabies and flag it was lights out to get us recharged for a busy Saturday ahead.
Minicamp this weekend was held at Piha. Our first activity on Friday evening after playing soccer whilst waiting for everyone to arrive, started with name games, so that we all got to introduce ourselves and was a good icebreaker for the camp.
September minicamp started off on Friday night with the arrival of our amazing Junior Branch (JB) and of course all of the wonderful children .This may be the winter camp but it was still a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
