Minicamp schedule for 2026

September Minicamp
11th - 13th September | Hunua
Minicamp is a weekend long camp which is planned and run by our highly trained CISV leaders, and our local CISV Junior Branch (JB) members. Minicamp is a chance for local participants to have a taste of what a CISV international camp is like. Minicamps are held about twice a year in Auckland at "school camp" type venues. Your children will spend an awesome weekend with other kids and our fabulous leaders, participating in many types of peace education activities throughout the camp, such as arts and crafts, open/close simulation, active/running games, drama, communication, and many more. All CISV minicamp activities are designed with a purpose: to promote peace education, critical thinking, and becoming a global citizen.

Each year we focus on one of four themes; Conflict and Resolution, Sustainable Development, Diversity, and Human Rights. The meals are prepared by our lovely parent volunteers so the kids can concentrate on having loads of fun! If you want to find out what kids get up to, being kitchen staff is an excellent and fun way to find out what CISV is all about.
Minicamps are for children from the age of 9 years and up. For most activities, we break into separate groups: Junior aged 9 - 13 years, and Junior Branch (JB) aged 14+ years. JB activities are more in-depth, and offer opportunities to plan and run activities for JB and Junior groups. For older teens, there is the opportunity to transition to minicamp leader roles.
If you are thinking of sending your kids to one of our international programmes, coming to Minicamp is the first step.
