International
Founded in 1950, CISV International is a federation of 70 Member Associations around the world. Our National Associations (full-member Associations) and Promotional Associations (Associations in the process of gaining full membership) run our educational programmes and co operate internationally through their membership of CISV International.
CISV International assists and guides its associations by coordinating the international aspects of our programmes, providing policy direction, expertise and infrastructure support.
New Zealand
CISV New Zealand is a registered charity, run entirely by volunteers. The Committee Board is made up of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, National Representative and National Risk manager.
Most countries are divided into regions, known as 'chapters'. The chapters are sub-organisations who represent CISV locally; they are largely autonomous but also work closely together for international programmes. In New Zealand we currently only have one active chapter, based in Auckland.
If you are not based in Auckland, do not worry! We have multiple members who live around the country and fly to Auckland to attend programmes. We offer scholarship programmes to financially assist those who are in need; if you require assistance, get in touch with our minicamp team at minicamp.auckland@nz.cisv.org.
